THE BRIEF

10Vill Coffee wanted a gift box that could sit next to a collector’s piece, not a retail SKU. The constraint was the craft itself — lacquer and eggshell inlay laid by hand by artist Đinh Văn Sơn — which meant the artwork had to be drawn for an artisan’s hand, not a print machine.

WHAT WE DID

We drew the coffee cherry as an inlay motif, specified it in eggshell against lacquer, and set the structure so the lid reads as one painted surface rather than a printed panel. Then we shot it as an object, not a package. It took MUSE Gold in 2026.

OUTCOME

Gold at the MUSE Design Awards 2026, Packaging Design — Limited Edition. Built with lacquer artist Đinh Văn Sơn across six months, seven prototypes and 200+ roasted eggshells.
